I never expected to own and operate a vegan food cafe, however, it has been one of the most rewarding experiences of my life. I have learned so much and have been able to give back to the community in a very special way, that has seemed almost effortless.

Since 2004, Susan has managed her restaurant venture: Sweet Potato Kitchen in the small town of Hawi, Hawaii. From tourists to locals, her legacy remains as “chef to the stars” and the sweetheart of healthy food for the community.
